WES already has much of this in place, but the overall concept was too grand so we honed it into something manageable and attainable.
\nThis was done by reviewing the original definition.
\nSFL is the process through which meaningful and reflective dialogue arises. Its first priority is to serve the purpose of promoting learning - child, teacher, paraprofessional, principal, vice-principal and parent.
\nAt a recent Focus meeting which we have every two weeks we decided as a staff that we need to bring the 'majority' of parents on board with the initiatives we have happening in the school. These include: Power of Ten, SmartLearning, Healthy Buddies and various minor initiatives like the Community Garden.
\nOur plan revolves around introducing these to parents in the fall as part of a reintroduction to the school year.
